Meet Amber: Our Dedicated OT on the Sunshine Coast
Amber is a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who brings a holistic, client-centred approach to her practice. She recently worked as an Occupational Therapist in Broome, a regional and remote area of Western Australia, for 1.5 years. During this time, she managed a diverse caseload spanning from paediatrics to older adults with a wide range of diagnoses, including neurological, psychosocial, and developmental conditions. Her role included servicing clients across both Broome and Derby communities.
Amber has extensive experience in assistive technology and equipment prescription, minor home modifications, sensory processing interventions, emotional regulation strategies, fine motor development, cognitive skills training, and comprehensive report writing. She is passionate about promoting independence, safety, and quality of life for her clients through tailored and evidence-based interventions.
Prior to working as an Occupational Therapist, Amber gained additional experience within the healthcare sector in both Nursing and Pharmacy, enhancing her understanding of multidisciplinary collaboration and comprehensive health care. Known for her empathetic and caring nature, she strives to build strong therapeutic relationships to support clients in achieving their personal goals and engaging in meaningful activities. Amber is committed to continuous professional development and providing high-quality, individualised care to empower every client she works with.
In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends, walking her two English Staffies along the beach, travelling, cooking, watching sunrises and sunsets, exercising regularly, and relaxing with a good cappuccino.
